Week 31
This week is my last week blogging, and high school ever. It's so bittersweet. Last week was Senior Trip and everyone had a blast, but it was awesome how excited the kids were when I walked in the door yesterday. This year has been a great one and I look foward to becoming a teacher one day. This experience has helped me so much and it was fun getting to know all the kids. Thanks so much for this opportunity! Have a great summer, and God Bless! :)

This week in English the kids are learning about Atlas', Dictionaries, Maps, and Encyclopedia and what you can find in each one. Its interesting to hear what the kids think about them. Mrs. Weirich also talked about having GPS' you dont have to have maps anymore, the kids thought this was cool.

This week has been a very busy week. I was only there 2 days because the rest I was gone at school. Today I was there but the kids were gone to taking pictures. I only got about thirty minutes of tutoring this week.
How to give effective feedback to your students-Chapter 7
Feedback depends on how the talker and the listener responds to what you are saying. Students who are interested in learning or they are good students will listen well to what the teacher or adult has to say. For students who learn well and need help suggest the next step of the project or assignment. You have to positive, supportive, and appreciative in your tone while talking to the students. No matter how successful a student, there is always some help that you can give. The students that will benefit most from feedback will be struggling students. When talking to a reluctant student you need to watch your tone. Every teacher needs to learn when to use a different kind of tone when talking to different kinds of students.

How to give effective feedback to your students-Chapter 5
This chapter show how to help students use the feedback that the teachers give them. Modeling is one of the beest ways to teach a student according to this book. You need to let the students know that you are giving them constructive criticism and you do not mean to be rude. You express your attitude by your tone of voice. Self-assessment increases students interest in feedback. Rubrics help the students understand what you are looking for in certain assignments. Rubrics must be clear and easy to understand.
